Amber Cabochons

Amber cabochons are  used to make silver and amber jewelry.

They are made in special forms.  Made of genuine Baltic Amber  stones that have been clarified to enhance their beauty, they make some of the most beautiful jewelry in the world.

Generally they are set in sterling silver or gold. You find them in rings and earrings as well as some other creative amber and silver jewelry designs.

They are a highly specialized product that requires special equipment and forms to shape the Amber.

Because of the expense of the forms required to make a cabochon, a design is available only if it will be made in large quantities on a repetitive basis.

Cabochons are, therefore, generally a product bought by the large jewelry makers. The minimum order requirements are, for the most part, a limiting factor for small jewelry makers.
