Reconstructed Baltic Amber

The term Reconstructed Baltic Amber is one that was created and defined by the International Amber Association, Gdansk, Poland.

It is defined as follows:

Reconstructed (pressed) Baltic amber (Succinite) – gemstone made of Baltic amber pieces pressed in high temperature and under high pressure without additional components.

Reconstructed Baltic Amber is the amber of choice of most buyers.

Jewelers offer it because the jewelry made with it is what most people want.

More reconstructed amber products are sold than amber classified as Natural Baltic Amber (succinite) or Modified Baltic Amber (succinite) because that is what people buy

It comes in more sizes, shapes and colors than amber either cut or pressed from one stone. In many cases it is more pleasing to look at.

It is genuine amber – pure succinite. Under IRS testing it cannot be distinguished from amber classified as Natural Baltic Amber (succinite) or Modified Baltic Amber (succinite).
